Boy this is such a busy month as far as lyme networking goes....

unfortunately my son's teacher never returned to school after Easter. Just found out she has been "sick" with some sort of "disease" that has messed up her muscles, joints, and nerves for the past year and a half and just took a turn for the worst and the doctors can't find a diagnosis - hmmmm, sound famliar? WHY DONT THESE DARN DOCTORS HAVE LYME ON THEIR RADAR SCREEN - WHYYYYYY??

anyway, I just emailed the school principal and she said that lyme was "discussed" but no positive results...

so i am asking if anyone has a good article that explains how the "regular" labs produce many false negative results?? i dont necessarily need one on igenex, although that would be nice. I just want to put in some extra proof that what i am telling them about the labwork is true. plus it would be a great post to put on facebook tomorrow (i have been writing daily lyme posts on my facebook page to educate everyone as much as i can)

Why IGeneX?
IGeneX processes over 20,000 Lyme tests a year, and can adhere to a more specialized structure than the CDC regulations. IGeneX includes band 31 in their testing, and also offers 30-31kDa confirmation-these bands are often positive due to cross-reactivity with other viruses, and IGeneX uses highly specific recombination antigens to validate results. In addition, IgG needs only 2 bands present (instead of 5), and the IgM needs 2 (like the Western Blot).
