My son has been making progress but not as much as we would like. Has constant complaints of nausea.

We both went back the holistic practitioner to get a new scan. For my son she saw very abundant and alive h pylori bacteria. She mostly fatigue (long name for it) and the hypilori.

Went to Dr. R today who prescribed: Biaxin and Amoxy to cover Lyme/Bart (son has Bart) and Zofran (I think that is correct) for the h.pylori nausea.

Does this sound right?

He believes Will has sulfa allergy which is why he was so sick on Bactrim. He wants him to start Riamfin (something like that) in four weeks but need to get gut under control first.

some ducs use double therapy for h pylori and some triple with flagyl. some use a ppi also but its playing with fire as far as his gut

rife and mastic seemed to help mine but one thing it was doing was reducing stomach acid and it makes it hard to digest also absorb b vitamins (thus the chronic fatigue sydrome) i had to supplement hcl and b pollen at every meal for a while its better now

What are the dosages of biaxin and amoxy?


Rifampin is good for bart...but it can be difficult - herx - wise.
When I started it, I started low (1/4 of daily dose recommended) for a few days, then went to half daily dose for a few weeks before the full dose.

An FYI: Is it thought that your son will be on the Zofran for an extended period of time?
Zofran combined with biaxin = interaction: increase risk of the Long QT syndrome:

Huddie you switched back to dr r? Rifampin is the abx that made a tremendous difference for my twin in terms of psych symptoms. It also really helps with anxiety and OCD according to a lot of llmds. I'm really excited for your son to try it!!!

Huddie, I have taken Zofran in the past and it worked great for my nausea. The only thing I would watch for is constipation. Even though I was on antibiotics it still caused constipation after a while of taking it. Make sure your son is drinking enough water.

I take a combination of digestive enzyme and one has HCL in it. It can be very helpful for those that need it.
