Just heard the last 45 minutes of this talk show on WBZ AM radio that had a call in segment to ask questions to a lyme doctor, it was so frustrating to listen to.. these poor people trying to ask their questions and being rushed to make room for 10 minutes of commercials for each 5 minutes of talk show.
Anyway the doctor (couldnt remember his name) said that any antibiotic is a waste of time and money without adding Flagyl to bust the cysts (if the lyme is in chronic stage). He also believed that ALS, fibro, parkinsons, alzheimers, MS, is lyme that has been mis/untreated for too long.

Tinidazole can be used instead..and I've read Rifampin may hit cysts as well

Bee venom gets all forms imo..so does alinia

I wouldn't call it a waste of time, but eventually, yes you should have combo abx/herbs to hit all forms. I did only 1 abx for a month to see if it made any difference. When it obviously did, we went step by step after coinfections. So for the time I hit
babesia, I didn't also go after bio films and cysts, that would be overload. So at any given stage, if someone is not on a film-buster, you can't say it's a waste of time. Its just the stage they're on at the moment.

also if you hit it early, like take abx the day you get bit as a precaution, it's overkill to do biofilm and cyst busters when they haven't had time to establish.

in other words, context is everything.
