My new dr wants to use orals for bart for 3 months starting this week. I tried to tell the Dr that I have used Vancomycin in the past and it cleared the lyme for almost 3 years. I have pretty bad neuro lyme...

I believe it's smart to use orals first - with the possible complications that IV (I assume that's what you are hoping for?) therapy can have, it really only makes sense. Many have healed their infections using only orals, even those with severe Neuro issues. I've done it using herbs only.

And, were you questioning the Bart treatment? It's known that Neuro Lyme combined with Bartonella infection will produce very strong Neuro symptoms in most people.

Many MDs and insurance co's prefer to start w/ orals first, primarily because of cost. IV can have additional risk for some people, but that is generally for people who won't or can't follow protocols, maintain a clean IV site, etc. I think the real issue is with IV you have a lot of other demands and components to your protocol and it can get overwhelming. On top of being ill.

I'd try the orals - but I would also add in herbals for Bart. I think "Bart" represents many other Bart-like organisms and broad tx will probably be more effective.
