I lost my younger brother two years ago this June. His nickname from his guy friends was 'The Dude' it was even his license plate.

It's nice to meet you, too, Huddie.

I took my screen name from Jeff Bridges' character Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski in the 1998 movie The Big Lebowski. If you've not seen it, there's a line in the film where he says "...the Dude abides."

I'm very sorry for the loss of your younger brother. I can only imagine how terrible that must have been...and, still must be. Hopefully, seeing my name will remind you of the happy times with 'The Dude.'

I love the Big Lebowski and it is one of our favorites in our house. I even saw Jeff Bridges play with his band. His daughter was the opening act and she is awesome!

I bought Jeff Bridges Christmas Cards for my close friends and it says "the dude abides"

Huddie, I did not know that about your brother... That is so sad to lose a sibling. Hugs to you next month as I know those anniversaries are so tough. <3 my friend.

Hi. My brother's moniker was from TBL. I have three brothers and they are all movie buffs who are great at mimicry and can do lines from most movies. It is a lot of fun.

I have yet to see the film. Maybe I'll do that on his anniversary.

Peteza, you saw JB play with his band? So cool. That must have been a fun night out. I have a feeling he will forever be called the dude. Thanks for the well wishes Peteza.

Huddie, he is really pretty darn good guitar player.

However, I do have to admit that I was people watching a lot! I could not believe how many people wore The Dude pajama bottoms, the Dude sweater and the Dude bathrobe. It was such a great concert. Held at a very small theater called the Crest Theater, capacity 975 and not a bad seat in the place.
