Sparkly feeling in chest??

I was lying on my back, my husband was next to me with his arm over my chest. Out of nowhere, I felt a "sparkly" feeling on my chest. I don't know how else to describe it. It felt kind of cold, but not really. It didn't feel like when something goes to sleep. This was en entirely NEW sensation. It seemed to travel across my chest, above my breast area and then it was gone. My best guess is some kind of nerve thing, but I'm at a loss. I really can't believe all the NEW and strange things that come with lyme.

Other notes: My stomach has been feeling pressure (like gas that just won't go away) and intermittent sharp pain for a few days. I've had costocondritis pain today on the left side of my sternum. I've been feeling REALLY run down since yesterday. I do have a stiff neck and my lower back has been out of whack for about a week. I feel it's probably just an out of whack nerve, but I guess I need to hear I'm not dying ;)

I'm trying so hard not to panic, but I do worry.

10LymeB - I haven't experienced that sparkly feeling you described - but I can relate to the strange sensations we experience with this disease.

You are not dying - hope you are able to calm yourself and get some sleep. (And hopefully you will wake up feeling better)

Thanks Girlie, I've been doing better with all the surprise weirdness and pain with Lyme, but sometimes I get caught off guard. I guess it's good it didn't cause a panic attack. I should look on the bright side. Those weird sensations used to have me practically hyperventilating.

That does not sound good. Although you're right - posting with worry is definitely better than hyperventilating! Progress.


Unless you had a centipede with long sharp nails run across your chest (impossible) it does sound nerve-ish. If conditions get worse, please give your MD a call. Don't waste your precious energy on panicking. Like Girlie said - there are so many weird things that go on while we're treating - and we really don't know exactly what else we're hitting with the Lyme & Co tx... but things generally move in the right direction.

Do keep an eye on the stiff neck and if it gets any worse and doesn't seem like a nerve thing - skip the MD and get it checked out immediately.

Please keep us up to dat with how you're feeling.

I am having this same sensation on my chest right now, except it feels icy. Very weird.

I hate any symptoms that are nerve related...(except the twitches - I can handle those)

The tingling, numbness, vibrations, shivers (yes, those are all separate symptoms...) bother me the most..I guess because they are obviously from the nerves...and I always worry about those ones...

Give me joint pain...muscle pain...even head pressure....lol...just not a nerve 'thing'.

Oh once I did have the sensation of water running down my leg - but on the inside....strange one.

When I first started Buhner's herbs, I would feel a cold sensation in my innards. It only happened the first few times I took herbs.

I've had all manner of weird sensations. More than I can even remember.
