I had to go to my regular GP yesterday. Nothing wrong, just been 18 months since I have seen a doc and time for blood work.
He did my first Quest elisa lyme test that was negative and I moved on from him for lyme. But, I did go back to him and tell him that I did have lyme and that I was treating it with herbs.
So yesterday he asks me how my lyme disease is and I told him that I am off all herbs and supplements and doing great.
He said, "That is so good. We doctors can't do much for lyme unless it is caught really quickly." I said, "I know many with chronic lyme." He said, "It is sad that we don't know what works for that yet."
At least he knows and accepts the acute and chronic stages of lyme. I sure like his openness to it and he never made me feel uncomfortable about taking herbs.
