Antibiotics for long term relapse?

I was diagnosed with Lymes 2times when living on Nantucket for the summers two years in a row. Both times it was a slightly different strain of the disease and I took antibiotics. The second time it took over a year to get well. I was doing fine for a while then I was really stressed and overworking at work for a couple of months. I was near collapse at the end. Now I've been resting for 3 weeks and the symptoms of original a Lymes seem to have come back with more arthritic pain and fatigue & sharp pains. I wonder if I need to take more antibiotics. It's been 2 years since the last active case. Does anyone go back on antibiotics to manage relapses? Thanks. Relapses are usually significantly milder than the original (treated) infection. They tend to also be more autoimmune/neurological in terms of symptoms. Nevertheless they suck and you should try avoiding them in the first place. If you relapse then you need to go back to treatment.

Whenever i am stressed too much i don't wait for things to go bad, i start taking ashwagandha during the day to lower my cortisol levels. If i can't sleep at night i try melatonin, magnesium, hawthorn (lowers blood pressure and makes u sleepy). If they dont work i then take prescription sleeping pills. I don't stay more than 2-3 days without sleeping well or stressed during the day. Stress puts your body in survival mode and the energy is redirected from the immune system to the alertness/physical component. This makes you weaker in fighting any kind of infection but also more susceptible to autoimmune manifestations.

You said 2 months of stress, that is A LOT and plenty of time for the buggers to start replicate and produce symptoms again. Don't wait more than one week in stress mode without acting, take herbs, sleeping pills, whatever u have to to sleep well and get less stress.

Especially ppl that treat using herbs are kinda running away from prescription drugs for sleep/stress management. And this is a wise thing to do for healthy individuals. Every treatment has its own risks. Nevertheless if you have a chronic infection such is lyme, the risks developing by you being stressed and relapsing are MUCH HIGHER than any prescription drug u will take to sleep or lower your stress levels.
