Does this mean my immune system is functioning better?

I've always had BAD allergies. Hay fever from house dust and cats. Swollen eyes, sneezing, the whole bit. I have always had cats and as much as I love them, my allergies were always terrible. For the last three years, I just didn't have allergies at all. To anything. I could stick my face into my cat's fur and nothing. Totally weird. This year, my allergies are back with a vengeance. I'm wondering if this means anything towards the restoration of my immune system?

I'm not sure the why's or how's...but it's interesting that some of us when we're fighting lyme and co's don't get the usual colds or flu bugs....

could be the same with your allergies.

I know some people believe that it's because our immune system is suffering...then as we get better...it recognizes the flus/colds and thus we get symptoms again.

I'm thinking maybe lyme causes an autoimmune component...and we're actually in a hyper immune state...so no colds/flus can touch us...
But, this autoimmune also causes some of our 'lyme' symptoms.

...really I don't know...
