Hello all,

I know that Lyme is infamous for tampering with your natural hormone supply. In my case, my pituitary hormones are all but destroyed. ADH, female hormones, etc. (I'm only 29).

I have been treating Lyme and Co's for 3-4 years now. With treatment and hard work I have gone from being completely bedridden to having my life mostly back. My Lyme is essentially gone, I am just working on my co-infections and some stray heavy metals and viruses.

I was wondering if anyone knew if pituitary damage resulting from Lyme and depleted hormones is supposed to bounce back after recovery, or if this is permanent?

I remember hearing somewhere that it is hard or impossible for the pituitary to bounce back, but I spoke to my doctor and she seemed to think it would.

Like always with Lyme, it seems personal anecdotes are the most telling. I know this is very specific, but please let me know if any of you have any knowledge or experience.

While I do likely suffer with this - I don't have a doctor that will work with me, so I'm relying on articles to hopefully give you some information to go on.
