Lyme GI Issues -- Does Anyone Use Slippery Elm?

I see an LLMD and naturopath for Lyme/Co's. My LLMD suggested DGL for GI issues, which I've started using and think is helping.

My naturopath recommended Slippery Elm in addition to DGL.

Does anyone use Slippery Elm? If so, could you recommend a product -- tablet, powder or tincture? Is there a brand you prefer.

The ND was not specific, and just told me that I should be able to find a decent product at any health food store.

Slippery Elm is an herb that doesn't have many negative anything - except I did find where it's said that it may *possibly* reduce absorption of other things, so it's suggested that it's taken 2 hours before or after other things. But, that's a suggestion based on it coating the throat and intestines. Most places say it's very safe.

I have used it as a lozenge for years for sore throat and coughs. It is a great herb with many benefits to the digestive tract. It is great for acid reflux and is super for psoriasis.

It is a herb with many uses.

I have Thayer's lozenges on hand always.
