Saw a Naturopath today

Hello,
Antibiotics werent working and kinda ruined me, so I saw a naturopath today and he prescribed these after doing a test (pressing down on my raised arm)
Drenamin 7 tablets 3x/day
Evening primrose oil 1 tablet 2x/day
Pituitrophin PMG 6 tablets at night
HepatoCleanse 1 tablet 2x/day
Isotonix OPC-3 1/2 tsp 4x/day
"Stop the herbs I was taking"
He wanted to prescribe more but I am on SSDI, a skeptic, and appointments are expensive but I am desperate. He doesnt believe in chronic lyme, I told my wife this, and she said, "if it could make you feel better, does it matter?" He told me not to get dental work til I got healthier.

serfr - if the ND doesn't believe in chronic Lyme and treat you for LD - how can he help you get better? Just by building up the immune system?

So no antmicrobials in the protocol?

Hi Girlie, i guess no antimicrobials yet, He gave me what he thought i needed most , based on what i could afford..He believes partly in the power of positive thinking, The power of humor, (but hard to laugh)

I would approach it with an open mind. I've been seeing a naturopath who also used muscle testing. He does believe in chronic Lyme, but he doesn't treat Lyme until he works on the immune system. He has had me on a couple of supplements to help heal my immune system, and I very definitely herxed on them, without taking any antimicrobial herbs. I have made more progress this way in a few months than I did for three years with an LLMD.

Doing things like building up the immune system are helpful for some, but if you are seeing a doctor that doesn't believe you have an ongoing chronic infection, I'm afraid they will be of little help beyond helping ease a few symptoms.

Maybe you can use this ND to help keep things balanced and do an herbal protocol along side it - whether you tell him about the protocol or not. The only thing about this is that you have to look up each thing you take and be sure that it's not going to interact with the other herbs or meds you use.

Dr. K says that his procedure to test with ART is the same for everyone, no matter which condition the patient has.

But he does believe in infections, even though they rank rather low on the list of priorities.

is he energy testing you too?

I'm taking a change of course also, towards healing/strengthening my immune system (based on Buhner and my own additions), that my LLMD doesn't work on.

I'm a believer in fixing/balacing the immune system as we battle this. pills or killing herbs alone won't fix anybody, the body has to step in as well. if it can't it will be a long battle.

remember lyme has coaxed you immune system into not attacking it! (th2 cytokines)
