Babesia Symptoms Improving and then Getting Worse

I have been treating babesia for almost 5 months but only 2 months with Malarone at 4 pills per day. My air hunger, nausea, neck pain and sweats were much better but they returned last month with a vengeance. Not only have those symptoms returned but they brought a constant headache with head pressure.

Is it normal not to keep improving? It is like I have went backward. I also have lyme but this seems to be mostly babesia. I guess I am worried that the medicine is no longer working. I am on malarone, zith, artemisia and cat's claw. Did anyone else have ups and downs?

Girlie, I've been taking Malerone the whole time (almost 5 months) but I had to build up to 2 pills twice a day due to herxing. I've only been on the 4 pills a day for two months.

I was feeling better on the lower dose of malerone.

lotlucky you may of felt better on the lower dose of malarone because with that dose you were only able to reach a certain level of infection. add more and you go deeper hence why you feel worse. might not be that but seems obvious.

babesia seems to have that "horrible" ability to send you down a road of feeling better and better than take you not only back to square one but worse than that. this can happen weeks or months after starting treatment the key is to be persistent and forge ahead regardless of the symptoms. if your LLMD thinks you need to continue to be on it and you trust them than stick with it. babesia can take a year+ to knock down sometimes longer esp if its the very resilient duncani strain. remember this stuff infects and lives inside red blood cells. know how many of those you have? can take a long time to get it under control.

1000Daisies, I can't even imagine the heartache you must feel watching your children suffer with these illnesses while being ill yourself. I hope that you see a positive change in your other two children very soon! This is a horrible disease for anyone but especially for young children

Babesia is one of the trickiest pathogens to treat. It's extremely smart. My symptoms changed so much, to the point I could not even recognize babesia: but it was there!!!

I use muscle tests to know, so it can hide only until a point, not that much. I would screen my body to find it, where it was hidden, I mean. And it reacted fast to FIXED protocols.

Bb is tamed more or less with fixed herbs (like Buhner's herbs).

Babesia NOT. If you use a fixed protocol, it will win (according to MY experience with energy testing).

It's a MASTER of disguise, and hiding.

For me, only Cardamon could make it stop for good (in big amounts).

It was the most awful chase and hide pathogen I ever fought. Very smart. If I kept 3 days on the same amount of herbs, or same herbs, it would find a way to curb them, and hide, and come back, sometimes in revenge.

But if I kept changing amounts, always choosing the minimum amount (not the maximum), it usually kept quiet. The only big amoutn I used was artemisinin (short term, very high dose, following dr. K's ideas). I did that pulsed, because it's waaaay too strong. And of course, it did not get rid of babesia, but it was one of my guns against it.
