treatment causing cbc abnormalities

Hi fellow lyme warriors,
I have been in treatment for 8 months and am mostly healed. I have been doing cbc's every month and have started to notice that each month my wbc is dropping by 1 point, started out at 10 next month 9 next month 8 and so on. Im now at 6.6. Last month the lab reported back that my red blood cells were unevenly sized and this month they are still unevenly sized but are now also unevenly shaped. Wondered if anyone else had experienced anything like this due to heavy treatment?

Any GI issues? What does your doctor say about this count going lower and lower? Have you been diagnosed with any co-infections?

Babs messes with the red blood cells. GI issues, could be the spleen and liver are struggling and need some extra love.

Very curious about what your doc says.

Babesia can be responsible for the red blood cell issues, but a couple of infections can mess with out WBC counts, as those are made in the bone marrow. Lyme, Bart or Babesia could cause this.

Are you treating for all three main infections - Lyme, Bart and Babs?

I"m very happy to hear that you have had so many improvements! That's wonderful!!! I do hope it continues!
