Hi, I've been bitten by a tick 2 weeks ago. Probably for less than 24 hours, but was removed rather sloppily, it got squashed by the joke of a doctor who thought it's too small for a tick and that "only the big, chunky ones can make you sick"... For the the first week I had mild symptoms, mild headache (I never have headache), feeling a bit ill, chills, feverish feeling but no fever, strange grinding in the neck, pounding heartbeat, no rash only the bite has turned into a small red bump. Checked with doctor after 7 days, got Doxy 2x100 for 2 weeks. The symptoms above cleared after 2-3 days. Also started taking cat's claw as my herbalist says in horse doses 3x1500mg, no noticeable effects. Yesterday read about astragalus and gave it a try, interestingly when I got 1000mg of astragalus at once it makes me quite dizzy and my heart beat increases significantly, 500mg is more tolerable. Am I jumping the gun here? Should I ask for more Doxy, or it's ok to up astragalus to 3000mg and continue on it for 60 days and cat's claw and keep on it for a while? Also I read that sauna/hot yoga increase the effect of antibiotics, should I do it every day while on doxy?
Cheers,
Kiril
