I've done hundreds.
If you plan on doing them regularly I'd hop on Amazon and get a stainless steel kit. You can find one for $25-$30 that is just fine but you can grab a CVS enema kit if you're just testing. You need light organic coffee, the dark, shiny beans you see in the store are nearly worthless. There are great enema coffees online (SA Wilsons) but i would just start with a store bought one to test it. Go to a Sprouts or Whole Foods or any other organic store and buy some of the lightest, least shiny beans you can find.
Grind them up and bring 1-2 Tbsp to a boil in spring or purified water then let it simmer for 12-15 minutes. Filter out the coffee and add enough water to cool it down to near body temp, then, add a tsp of salt and sprinkle of baking soda to get the pH close to that of your colon. You should start with about a quart but dont be surprised if you have trouble retaining all that the first few times.
It's best to do one after a bowel movement so you can retain it a lot easier. It's still argued whether to lay on your left or right side, i do right. Use a little coconut oil or castille soap on the tip of the enema tube and only insert it a few inches, you don't want the coffee going too high up your colon. Then try and rest and retain it for 10-15 minutes. If you got the salt/baking soda mix right it should be easy to maintain- too much salt and it will feel difficult, too little and you may have an urge to expel right away.
Afterward make sure to replenish your electrolytes with either an electrolyte solution or some bone broth maybe in your next meal. If you feel really sickly and weak afterward, that's good, you expelled some toxins but you may benefit from taking some clay, charcoal, chlorella or any other binder before doing it.
Also, be aware to not do them too often as it can throw off your electrolyte balance, especially as you get to stronger coffee. That has happened to me.
There is also good info about coffee enemas on the GAPS website.
Good luck, they're not nearly as bad or uncomfortable as they may seem to be. I'm a guy and it doesn't bother me at all
