my name is Kari, I have had symptoms that are the same as MS symptoms for a few years now. they ruled out MS. I have lesions on my brain, tingling on my hands and feet, sensitivity to hot and cold, memory issues, difficulty with words sometimes, the list goes on.

had a bunch of blood work done, lyme came back with this.....

lyme antibodies screen--- 1.71 (negative is >0.9)

41b igg band --reactive


what are your thoughts?

am i positive for lyme disease?

haven't heard back from my dr yet, i have access to my records so i looked it up lol

So glad you were able to find us but sad that you are dealing with those issues/symptoms.

Those symptoms sure sound like they could be Lyme, many of us were misdiagnosed with MS.

band 41 was the only one to show up on my western blot test.I was clinically diagnosed with Lyme and co infections by an Lyme literate MD.

If you don't have an llmd you can find one here by enabling your email so you can receive responses.

You can also go to ilads.org to request llmd's names for your area.

Hi kari - welcome to our community!

While that test isn't really backing up that you do have Lyme disease...lyme should always be a clinical diagnosis. The testing is not realiable/accurate unfortunately.

I think - based on those symptoms - that it would be wise for you to find a LLMD and schedule an appt. for an evaluation.
