Hi everyone! I am a 29 year old female from Louisiana. I have actually had lyme all my life due to my mom having it when she was pregnant with me. I had some symptoms growing up, but not enough to be a major concern. Then in 2010 when I was pregnant with my daughter, my husband and I went hiking near Mississippi and we ended up covered with ticks. I went immediately to my obgyn and told him and he brushed it off saying you don't have a bulls eye rash so you are fine. I started having symptoms toward the end of my pregnancy that I brushed off as being almost to term. After I had my daughter I think my first symptoms were joint pain, anxiety, and migraines. I also had my right calf swell double the size of my other leg and doctors had no clue what was happening and they treated me with a faciaotomy bc they thought it was compartment syndrome.....it has never gone back to normal. Next was gallbladder removal, then extreme fatigue and brain fog, then vibrations all through my body. Those were just the beginning and my doctor tested me for lyme and it was neg, but certain bands were positive so she treated me for lyme. I ended up being on treatment with multiple variations of antibiotics for 2 1/2 years. I thought I went into remission last summer and then the flood of 2016 hit lousiana and my house got flooded and we lived in a rent house that had mold. All of my symptoms reactivated and I can't shake back. My blood test is def. off. My white count is very low normal 4.5, neutrophils are low, and lymphocytes are elevated. My doctor is thinking mono and possibly my lyme is reactivated. I am overly frustrated. Does it ever end? I am a personal trainer and gymnastic coach and I struggle daily with getting up and doing even the smallest task. It is frustrating and I just want my life back.
