Lyme and Menstrual Cycle

Hi,

Sorry for the TMI question. But does anyone else notice a severe flare in symptoms at the beginning and middle of their cycles? I have terrible palps, feel like I am going to faint, just general fatigue and an overall worsening of all symptoms at these times. Wondering if it is just me and if there is anything I can do to help this.

Hi Kak - I'm perimenopausal so my hormones are a mess anyways, but lyme has definitely made them worse! I do feel an increase of symptoms just before a cycle.

Absolutely! My PMS symptoms are severe, and it makes every other symptom worse. I don't know how to fix it. I am asking my doctor next week.

I do more epsom baths when symptoms are worse. My cycles are not regular anymore so I'm not sure if it's a herx or pms, but the baths help. I've also started adding some essential oils to the bath, like lavender and Cleanse. They help my aches and pains.
