Peeling Palms-Which Infection?

Each of my palms have a quarter sized red patch that is peeling. No burning. Which infection might this be? I am treating lyme and babesia. Always a new symptom.

It's possible that it could be from psoriasis or from coxsackie virus. Does it itch at all? That may indicate psoriasis.

I wish you luck! Those were the two things that I'm aware of that cause that. Please do let us know what you discover! I do know that some cases of Coxsackie virus can be treated with Lysine, because the virus depends on the availability of arganine in the body - and Lysine can block the arganine from using that pathway, as it's the same pathway that lysine uses.

Another possibility is skin fungus - of which there are many. I have tinea versicolor that hardly ever looks like the photos online. Skin fungus are also irritated by heat and sweat. Just a thought.

My 9 year old son had a terrible rash all over his body when he started on doxycycline. The LLMD said it was the borrelia getting pissed off. After about a week as the rash started to disappear, the skin on his hands and feet started peeling. It was very odd. Once it all peeled off, the skin healed and he hasn't had a rash since.
