I have mold illness in addition to Lyme. I was doing better recently as I was working on Buhner's bartonella protocol. Last week, I added in Cordyceps and have been hurting ever since and am trying my best to figure out why. Here's the background.
1. Took Cordyceps 3 days and started feeling toxin pain. Stopped to get the inflammation under control and try to detox more.
2. Added peroxide to epsom salt baths 3 days, and toxin pain increased along with sensitivities (mold, chemical, EMF).
3. Today, no bath. Sensitivities show no sign of abating.
I'm trying to figure out why my sensitivities have shot up and continue even though I last took Cordyceps on Thu (only 1 capsule) and did no peroxide today. I also have not had any new mold exposures, in case you're wondering. It doesn't really feel like a herx, as all of my symptoms have not increased. It's mainly just tissue pain from either toxins coming out of my tissues or hypersensitivity to mold, chemicals, and electronics. Here are the possibilities I've come up with:
a) Extended herx reaction to Cordyceps
(Makes me wonder more about the possibility of active chlamydia pneumonia/porphyria.)
b) Toxins dumping out due to cumulative effect of herbal treatment over a period of weeks
(Seems possible but not probable.)
c) Cordyceps is a fungus and since I have mold illness, it's making me a lot worse.
(My gut has actually been okay or better than usual through all this. I figured if Cordyceps was going to be bad for me because of mold, then I would have had an allergic-type reaction to it or that it would have adversely affected my gut. Neither of those happened.)
Any thoughts/opinions/insight???
