If you were diagnosed with Borrelia - I would treat it.

Did you know that they are doing trials treating MS patients with minocycline?

The fact that you are worse after taking the antibiotics - that is typical of lyme disease. The bacteria is being killed off - and the inflammation from this causes an overload of toxins in your body...called a herxheimer reaction.

Focussing on detoxing to flush out the toxins will help with these increase of symptoms.

So the panic attacks, racing hear and body vibrations are new since starting the antibiotics?
That is also typical - herxheimer reactions can cause an increase in severity of current symptoms PLUS new symptoms.

Do you have a LLMD? Or is it your Neurologist that has started you on antibiotics?

It is best to see a Lyme Literate Dr. (LLMD) for treatment. They specialize in tick borne disease treatment and are more knowledgeable than other specialists when it comes to these infections.

BTW - I also have the body vibrations (internally) from Lyme and/or the coinfections of Bartonell and Babesia.

I'm glad you have found us but I am so sorry you are having these symptoms.

Mine were always worse in late afternoon and evening too. Waves of numbness, pulsing vibrations,fear, etc. The good news is that most of those symptoms are gone now from ongoing treatment.

In the beginning I was told I possibly had MS but they were wrong. I know every situation is different
and there most likely are people that have both MS and Lyme. The important thing is to keep treating and detoxing and don't give up hope.

Agree with the other great posts!

First, MS is really just a name given to a group of symptoms. It is not a diagnosis of the underlying cause of those symptoms--- just like other neurodegenerative dissases. In fact, before Big Pharmaca got involved in developing expensive Rx that address symptoms, not the cause... MS used to be considered an and treated as an infectious disease!

Minocycline is also used for bartonella so if you have that as well you may be burdened with dieoff of 2 things at once. Everytime i hit a dieoff from bart anxiety is my top symptom

yes but not for monotherapy, associated with rifampin and sometimes azythro. if u use that triple combination usually bartonella is hit pretty hard. all 3 are intracellular antibiotics.

bart is a very gentle bacteria, it is easily killed and delicate. Compared to babesia which is much tougher. Bart does not live outside cells, but for very short time, it stays inside cells and that's why it's so hard to remove, because most antibiotics have hard time reach inside there, and also the immune system.

Anyway, it's not bart's fault you are sick of bart, it's yours. your immune system is not working well and bart is not kept in check. Same reason with candida. The real enemy is only borrelia, it creates this suppression, we understand just now how bad this is. If you don't get flu protection from a flu vaccine, then that's a pretty serious immune suppression we are talking about .

when they will find a chemical to kill those darn persisters, you wont even need to care much for the bart. Maybe you will take a one month course of rifampin and azythro, AFTER the borrelia is dead, and that would be it...
