do I have ms or Lyme... should I continue or switch to herbs, or will this mess up my treatment. I speak to my dr in about 10 days, but sure could use some suggestions...
my oh my, but why would a person with MS herx on minocycline ?! hmm ... maybe they have BUGS that are causing MS ?!
you know im just saying ... very very disturbing... welcome to our community, you know, there are lots of frustrated people around here with misgiagnosis and years of pain, that were told they
a) have MS, here's ocrelizumab for you, it's gonna slow the disease by 30% and may give u cancer in 10 years or a deadly virus
b) are crazy, anti psychotic therapy is necessary
c) have minor pain that goes away with tylenol. hey life is hard, we all suffer
etc etc...
to answer your question: you have both MS and lyme. When you catch a flu virus, you got both the virus and high fever...
In your case
Lyme -> the virus
MS -> the fever
MS is a symptom, is not a cause. Can be caused by many things. In your case, and based on the pretty strong neurological herx you have on minocycline, i'd say it's pretty clear what the problem is...
others have MS generated by other problems and are not as lucky to be treatable with antibiotics... nobody really knows all the reasons. but lyme is one because lyme bacteria has parts of its tail that look like myelin, so the body shoots arrows at it and strikes your nerves in the process...
