Anyone with lyme rash that looked like a bruise?

Hi there I got my bulls eye rash 3 weeks ago and it looks more like a bruise as opposed to a typical bulls eye

It's more of a solid round dark red bruise with a dot in the middle. It started off as an itchy spot that I scratched a lot!

Would you mind sending me a photo of what the bite looks like? I am so worried.

You should be able to knock out a new infection.

I'm not sure how to send a pic but happy to send one if you could advise how to do it. I know it's worrying,I'm the same keep wondering if my rash could be something else! Don't worry though there's lots of support here and people do live full lives and find ways of managing it, you caught it early too so that's a huge advavntage.

When I got bit by chiggers/fleas about 1 month ago, I got an oval shaped bruise on my right tricep that went away after 10 days. I'm attributing it to bart given the intense calf and foot pain I experienced immediately after those bites. Some of them still kind of itch but not even compared to when they first started to itch as I was literally digging into my skin. Now all I have is hideous scars!

My rash developed yesterday, first time. Same exact description you're giving. It was a bruised ring around a bite, same size.

Mine never got an 'eye' in the middle. It was like a bruise, like you hit and get a blue.

The blue was more like black + dark purple, so to say, barely itchy in my case.

It felt sensitive to the touch.

The center was the point where the tick bit, but almost invisible.

The MD saw me pass the door wearing a skirt, he looked at my leg from the other side of the room, and immediately said 'lyme'.

He said it's so common here in Switzerland.

What made me suspect something was wrong was the SPEED it grew. Everyday, it grew almost to eyesight.

At first, it took time to grow (exactly about 2 weeks after bite).

Then, it was growing exponentially fast. I heard of people getting almost half of their backs covered in that type of rash.

I was bitten over 20 yrs ago by a tick. Sometime later I developed a really large "bruise like" area in my left leg shin area. It was kinda round/oval shaped Iif I recall correclty. I thought I had either bumped something or that I was bitten by a brown recluse spider ( we had a problem with them). Maybe a year or more later feel really ill. Sicker than I had ever been before. Couldn't stand sunlight, keep blinds curtains closed and kept it dark, felt like a bad flu but no fever & was really weak. Dr gave me antibiotics and it took me months to feel normal again. The almost 20 years later of feeling tired among many other issues I finally got diagnosed correctly with Lyme and co infections. So that's a long answer to yes the rash can look like a bruise or large spider bite.
