I've been thinking about getting a colonic for a long time. I've finally made an appointment and now I'm starting to get paranoid. I just read: Complications may include bowel perforation, excessive fluid absorption, electrolyte imbalance, heart failure, and serious infection.
Does anyone here get them and can you share your experiences? How did you feel after? Was it a pleasant or bad experience? I know many of you do enemas at home, but colonics are a bit different and done by a professional. I don't know that I can do enemas at home.
Hi 10,
I haven't but my mother has done colonics for many years. She's never had any problem. She says she feels so much better afterward. There was an initial awkwardness for her but now she's very comfortable with it.
I'm unsure which one she does,
open or closed, I do know there's some massage involved to move fluid deeper into the intestines to pull more toxins out.
Good luck with yours!
