Readingmom,
I have not tried that herb. I have had occasional trouble swallowing since symptoms started in 2009. For me, it was more like an autonomic nerve malfunction, like the muscle action of swallowing was delayed. It was a scary feeling. I still have it from time to time.
I saw your other post about red root. I take red root and haven't had any adverse reactions to it. However, for months now, I get pain in my throat. Sometimes it starts right after taking my supplements, but it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it starts after I go outside or get in my car. It worries me because I don't know if it's allergic or not. I even wondered about eosinophyllic esophagitis. The thing is it doesn't happen EVERY time I take or do something. I don't know if it could simply be Lyme or a coinfection symptom or not.
