PSA: If you're not a seeing progress you may need to get your gallbladder checked

I wasn't seeing much improvement for about 8 months. My LLMD (Dr J) said I should get my GB checked. Turns out it was functioning at 15% and was flapped over. Apparently Lyme loves it. My doc described it as this. Your GB is a nexus for infection. Your body is working so hard to fight it there that it neglects other places in the body. Also, my horrific nausea isn't there (maybe there 5%) anymore after getting my GB removed. Your doc can prescribe a U/S for it. Mine came back clean (no stones) but I also got a HIDA scan with a CCK challenge. Thts what showed my GB was basically broken from the Lyme.

I'm nowhere near "better" but I'd say I'm between 40-50% better when I was stuck at 5-10% before the surgery.

When my Gallbladder was malfunctioning due to being on Fentanyl patches for two years, Certain meals (especially all you can eat buffets) would cause the GB to spasm, carpal tunnel spasms, and uncontrollable chronic vomiting of bile followed by many hours of dry heaves resulting in pain and exhaustion.

The doctors never told me that this was related to the Fentanyl Patch and I had to figure it out online (the story of my life). Once I changed meds this experience stopped.

The only things that would stop the painful experience was a soak in the hot tub at 103F or Demerol injections.

My GB acupuncture points are still the most sore spots on my feet although this was years ago.
