Lapis - you know there are contaminants in that brand? That's the one my husband uses now.

yes, I know for 2 reasons.

one, it has a smell to it, pharma grade DMSO smells like nothing. no scent whatsoever. that means they did not process all of the industrial contaminants out of it.

two, its in the wrong plastic container. they use polycarbonate number 7 plastic, DMSO can dissolve some of the plastic or components in the plastic and take this plastic into your body. The only safe plastics for dmso are number 1, 2, 4, 5 or glass.

olive leaf is more affective against virus than bacteria.

again, try the dmso method if you are shy to consumer EO's

I can't say for certain but based on how I respond I feel like the Olive Leaf Extract I'm taking hits my bart/blo. It seems very effective for my case. Par for the course with the lyme+ puzzle, what works for one person might not work for another. I don't feel much benefit from the lauricidin, maybe it can potentially work as a hedge against fungal infection and curbing some viral loads?...

yes olive leaf would be good again Babs since babs is a parasite and olive leaf is anti-parasitic. it just isn't very affective against lyme itself.

My husband has two bottles - one almost empty - the Tree of Life container was #2 plastic.
It was the almost empty one - no smell - but maybe there wasn't enough in there.

The other one - did have an odor - can't remember the brand name though...

You know - I just thought it was supposed to smell because it's a byproduct of the Kraft pulping process.
And, living in a pulp and paper mill town...I know how stinky the kraft pulp is...so assumed it might be smelly.

hmmm...I'll have to remember to talk to my husband about this.

BTW - I read one article that said it can cause cancer. Veterinarians use it on horses - but because they don't live as long as us...it's not a worry.

Is that fake news?

on another forum I am on a Doctor posts who uses IV DMSO to treat just about anything, including cancer.

it potentiates chemotherapy, thus making it more affecitve and you need less chemo which makes it less toxic.

so, no I have never seen any evidence it causes cancer.

Lapis- I'm ordering some today. Do you get the glas jars of liquid or the little can of cream or the roll on stick thingy?

I am currently using testosterone cream and wonder if DSMO can potentiate it as well as the other benefits.

i get the liquid in glass, its the most potent. but all their products are good.

be careful when adding dmso to anything! start slow and be cautious.

skin irritation is common, last about 30 minutes or so. sometimes skin gets dry, use vit E/ aloe on it.

DMSO is a by-product of the pulping (pulp and paper) process.
But, it is known to have some health benefits.

I became familiar with it many years ago - around 2000 or 2001 when my husband read about it and used it for his back injury he sustained in a car accident.
He has since used it for other issues. One was a tendon injury (below his right knee).
He swears by it.

BUT, he doesn't take it internally...just topically uses it.

It is known in the Veterinary world - used on horses.

I don't know how to take it with the oregano oil. Make sure if you do use it topically that the area it's going on, as well as any utensils used are clean. It will carry anything through your skin into the blood stream.

I bought a boatload from dsmostore.com, and have been using it myself before I give it to my husband. The demo is by pure, no smell at all. I even put it on my face... The description of a sunburn like feeling is pretty spot on, but it only lasted a few minutes on me. (Others have said 20-30 minutes.). Make sure area is clean first and dry. If you want to dilute it, use distilled water. This was all the advice i found here and other places.

I still haven't taken it orally yet, but will be with the oil of oregano.

Could you use it with powdered herbs?

Like what if you put Japanese Knotweed powder on your leg, and then pour DMSO on it, would that work?

I don't think it would be used that way. When I tried it topically - it was for a symptom, not to treat lyme disease (I didn't know I had LD at the time)

Some people are taking the DMSO orally.

nobody really knows anything about in vivo tests with herbs. Anecdotally it is thought carvacrol crosses the BBB.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that a liposomal form of OoO does. It can be ordered with prescription from your doctor through Hopkinton Drug, MA.
