CA - how does he know it's the Iron supplement that rendered doxy useless against the coinfections?

Doxy isn't a treatment for babesia and monotherapy isn't advised for treatment of Lyme and cos

This is a reason why LLMD's prescribe more than one abx at a time - partly so resistance doesn't occur.
An antimalarial is needed for Babesia.

If you look up Doxy and Iron it is somewhat contraindicated as it weakens Doxy. Just my guess that this is why the other coinfections that Doxy should have helped, didnt.

We are currently treating with Tindazole, antihelmintics and herbs.

We need a way to help slow the hemolytic anemia that isn't going to feed the invaders if there is a way. If not we need the best form of Iron to take.

Not sure what all coinfections he has...but doxy alone won't treat bart or babs.

Has he tried Rifampin or Rifabutin for bart...and Mepron or Malarone for Babs?

I wonder if the form of iron will make a difference. I will see what I can find on different forms of iron not contraindacted with doxy.

EDIT: I tried Ferrous Fumerate, Ferrous Gluconate and they both inhibited doxy as well.

He's tried Mepron with Zith but the doc took him off Mepron when he had elevated Potassium in fear of damaging Kidneys. Hes been abandoned by most Docs who are too afaid of being sued, so I am doing my best to help him.

Ferrous Gluconate was the more bio available safer form of Iron I believe so thanks for that. He is no longer taking Doxy as I think the combo with Iron allowed for the coinfections to become resistant to it.

I am hoping he can find someone willing to try Coartem with him.

His liver enzymes are slightly elevated this month and kidneys are declining so we are trying conservative approaches and monitoring blood tests monthly.

Have you tried the angle o taking herbs/supplements to protect the red blood cells instead of only replenishing the leeching? Sida Acuta (or Cordifolia) and Cryptolepis are highly protective of red blood cells for example.
