10LymeB -
Your body is trying desperately to replenish your adrenals. LET IT. Totally give into this day sleeping. You're sick and treating Lyme & CO which is completely overwhelming to begin with and fatigue is expected and exhaustion is common as well.
Don't overthink the trigger right now. It could be that you hit a more productive level of your treatment - our bodies are dynamic and are changing every day, the microbial levels are constantly changing, and the treatment is causing changes non-stop.
If you don't feel less exhausted after a few wks of additional sleep, then I'd talk with your MD about
something.
ETA this next paragraph:Being constipated - that severely - could have overloaded your body with a toxin level that it is still trying to process. And I wouldn't underestimate the increase in antiviral dose. EBV is VERY opportunistic and can take advantage of any weakening of your immune function. Lots of things can overwhelm your immune function -
Remember 70% of it lies in the mucosal lining of our GI so food toxins, EBV surge, or maybe something with the crackers it didn't like... and presto your body is struggling. And that can stress out your adrenals.
I'm not sure what the crackers are influencing - why are you avoiding them? Do you normal eat gluten and this is the first time you've had gluten-free? Gluten-free products are often as problematic for people who don't have celiacs because they contain another binding protein substitute, when the issue with binders is really the modified grains and sourcing.
But not sure if that's what you meant.
Adrenal issues can also be affected by other changes in hormones and other HPA axis dysfunctions - (hypothalmus, pituitary, adrenals) like thyroid levels, which are also common for Lymees.
