Positive ANA and Anti-chromatin antibodies

I just received recent blood work back and was positive for ANA (no titer was shown) and positive for anti-chromatin antibodies (value of 1.2 while cutoff is .9). I have not had this on earlier tests, so do not know if levels are increasing or decreasing.

Has anyone else had this? How indicative of lupus is this? Does it resolve with treatment?

I had a high ANA during my diagnosis phase, and I believe it's not uncommon for people with Lyme. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago and have been treating ever since. Once I learned I had Lyme, I stopped seeing all of my specialists, so I've never retested my ANA. But my high ANA also never resulted in Lupus or any other AI issues. I think having a high ANA is not all that uncommon for folks with Lyme.

Being ANA positive does not mean lupus. First, there is a certain "normal" part of the population who test positive for ANA, and second some people with disorders like EDS have ANA at relatively high titers but still are not considered to have lupus by Rheumatologist.
Also, I would try to get a titer on your positive ANA just to see how high it is.
Like others said this may disappear or it could be transient. I know others who got their ANA dropped from really high titers with functional medicine treatment. I wouldn't worry too much but keep an eye on it.

mine also tested positive and a year later, negative
