Also, cowden does have a metal detox component (sealantro). Would that be when your sx kicked up?
I'm not sure what you mean, but yes, I did try Sealantro for some time but I don't think it triggered any new symptoms. Everything is always the same for me, no clear reactions. I still have a bottle of Sealantro and also chlorella, I will probably use them just in case... Do you think it's safe to assume I don't have significant heavy metal problems if I don't feel better whilst/after taking such herbs?
Well, now I've got clearly positive results for Lyme so heavy metals are not that likely... But it's MSIDS so...I was just suspicious of metals since all your symptoms are around your head. I think doing a detox can only help. We are exposed to so many metals on a daily basis - foods, water, cooking materials, vaccines, etc.
I used the sealantro myself and with my children (along with detox baths, green smoothies) and noticed a good reduction in heavy metals. We had no adverse effects from it.
I am happy you have confirmed tests and know what to tackle. Please keep us updated on how it goes and which treatments help.
For what it's worth, I did test positive for MARCoNS. I just finished 6 weeks of nasal spray and will retest soon. The only thing I really noticed is possibly less fatigue. I also had a neuroquant MRI last week and supposedly it can indicate based on where brain inflammation is if it is from lyme or mold. I also have a lot of "head" symptoms (tinnitus, jaw tension, facial numbness, some pressure, poor short-term memory) so looking forward to those results.k07,
Please update us when you get the Neuroquant results. I never had that done. I tried the Shoemaker protocol - getting away from the mold and cholestyramine. Couldn't tolerate CSM - quit after 11 days. It was after that I had further Lyme tests that came back positive. Took minocycline for 7 days to try to treat Lyme/erhlichia - couldn't tolerate it either and had to quit. Never did VIP. Now I've been on Buhner's protocols for 7+ months. Still stumbling along with no solid improvement. I should probably get retested for the mold (Realtime Labs) to see how my results have changed but haven't done it yet.
