Can they be taken with doxycycline and azithromycin?

summer - I know that some LLMD's do prescribe the flucanazole while the patient is on antibiotics.
...and don't tell them to stop abx while taking it.


I put your meds into the Drug interaction report I use - and the one interaction is that azithromycin and flucanazole both have the risk of LongQT Syndrome...so together that would increase that risk.

How often are you taking the Diflucan?

I️ have the script but haven’t taken the flucanazole yet. I have noticed others taking it with abx but I am a bit concerned with abx interactions. I am dealing with a burning red tongue which is what I presume to be ongoing oral thrush. Thank heaven the thick white patches resolved awhile ago. Thanks so much, Girlie, for looking it up.

Patty, my LLMD prescribes fluconozole frequently with abx, but never with Zithromax for the reason Girlie posted. He prescribed it for me with Tetracycline.
