Experiences with IRAD Treatment

Does anyone have an experience with IRAD? It's where you lower your blood sugar, administer IV antibiotics, then you bring your blood sugar back up to help the antibiotics better cross the blood brain barrier.

I'm looking for research on it but can't find much. I'm wondering how effective and safe it is.

I haven't heard of the IRAD treatment.

I just assumed that IV abx penetrated blood/brain barrier well...and no assistance was necessary.
