Have my appt in an hour it’s the first time I’m seeing him since my test results came back positive for lyme babs bart and ehrlichia.

Feel so nervous don’t know why!

Should I tell him I would prefer a herbal protocol or just go with what he suggests?

Glad you actually have positive test results to support your symptoms.

In regards to picking herbal or abx, if you respect your LLMD's opinion, I would go with what he or she has to say.

But if you are on the fence about their opinion, I would consider the following questions in regard to making a decision:

1) what is the current state of your GI
2) if you have treated before, which did you respond to better: abx or herbals
3) which protocol would fully commit to?

Thank you peppermint tea smile all done, he actually recommended herbals over abx as my symptoms are relatively mild.

He added in artesunate for babesia and Chinese skullcap to what I’m already taking and we will review in 3 months. Also gave me a b12 jab.

I really hope the herbals help and I don’t have to switch to abx... fingers crossed. I took doxy soon after I got bit for about 2 months but my results show an active infection so I guess it’s still lingering.

Thank you for the hug I so needed that I get so nervous going to that clinic.

Sounds like a good plan. Hope they warned you about your urine being pink after b12 shot. Just a heads up in case you didn't know smile

Thank you PeteZa , I’m nervous about going all herbal I hope I’m not making matters worse for myself in the long run, have to remember to have faith in the healing power of the body. I just need to get to a decent dose, I’m still on 20 drops of jk a day and 15 of cats claw, still waiting for the eleuthero in the post and have ordered red sage too.

I really hope these herbs work their magic.

This lyme thing-its on you. Learn all you can-try what you doc suggest but always remember you are on charge. Read-watch youtube lectures and then make your decisions. Blind faith ion a doc often doesn't help

It is also good practice to get a copy of all your labs for your home file. Better to tell lab that you need a copy to be sent to you at same time they are released to MD.

Does herbal supplement the abx or add to them if you have severe symptoms?

I believe you can take herbals alongside abx, what treatment are you on at the moment?
