Artesunate for babesia

So I saw my doc today and he has suggested sticking to a herbal protocol and reviewing in 3 months

He has given me artesunate for babesia, 80mg a day split into 4.

Anyone have any advice on this? Should I start slow with it?

When I took it they were 200 mg capsules.

I took one a day...and it was quite strong. I was supposed to take two per day...and only did that a few times (if I'm remembering correctly)
I had already done several rounds of Artemisinin - and reached a dose of 1500 mg daily at one point.
Artesunate is definitely 'stronger'

Maybe start off with 40 mg daily total....for a few days...and see how you feel.

Well, my LLND never really 'admitted' I had babesia.

But, he did prescribe the Artesunate. And that is why I was taking it.

Not sure if it works for lyme.
