i m mew here i need help with Lyme test that i did for my 4 year old

I need help for my 4 year old so we did the W blot and Elisa test it was negative both but on the W Blot there wete 3 bends positive igG p 66.p 41 and p 39 . the dr said accordingto CDc its not positive she is currently on antibiotics for 10 days but her pediatrician said she extendit to 21 days upon my request .Since CdC says its negative since she has p 39 positive can she has lyme .should i do additional testing like the Igenx like my friend suggested who has chronic Lyme .I m confused worried i wanna do the best oo and she has no symptoms but recurrent streps

Hi sasease - welcome to our community.

Band 39 is specific to lyme.

You don't really need to do another test...a LLMD (lyme literate Dr.) should be able to clinically diagnose her a if she has lyme...and use that test for a back-up.
the LLMD may do additional testing though.


If you do decide to do Igenex testing, the Lyme WB IgM and IgG costs $250.

Does your daughter have any other issues (tic disorder, obsessive-compulsive behavior, irritability, anxiety....) The reason I ask is strep throat can cause PANS/PANDAS and there's also a connection to Lyme disease.

I think it would be wise to find a Pediatric Lyme Literate Dr. who can do an evaluation.

she doesnt have Panda. no symptoms .no ocd. no anxiety very friendly she is good in school and doesnt complain of pain .We did the test cause in November she had a bite on her on her weist i took her to dr he said it was not a tick bite it look like a spider bite but i requeated a test i did the test after 2 months.Where can i find Lyme dr i live in New jersey and i m new to this , her pediatriciansays no Lyme can it be false positive W Blot Thank you

I think it would still be a good idea to take her to a Pediatric LL Dr.

Dr. J. clinic in Washington DC has a Pediatric LL Dr. on staff now.

The other Dr. J that bluelyme referred to - I don't know if he's taking anymore patients (Connecticut)...he's been trying to retire for several years now.

Send me an email and I'll give you the details about the Washington clinic.

There aren't false positives...she has been exposed...but sometimes there are only a few symptoms...or even no symptoms...but can come out later.
This is why a knowledgeable, experienced LL Dr. is recommended (in my opinion)
