Doxy and symptoms

It is par for the course - for these antibiotics to cause an uptick in symptoms. In fact that's how some LLMD's confirm whether or not you have lyme...and/or if the abx are working.

You've been on the doxy for a couple of days, right? And with rifampin?

On Day 4 of doxy ( my first antibiotic), I got back pain...which I never had (in that particular area) the 14 months prior.

Are you taking a binder? What detoxing makes you feel worse? Maybe go back to just one or two methods for now...and see how you feel.

Doxy was my first abx, about a week into taking it my tinnitus started and hasnt' gone away since. It is 24/7 screeching/scraping sound...like nails on a chalkboard but never ending. Sometimes it's so bad I just want to bang my head into the wall. NOTHING helps it.

But, on Doxy or Minocycline, I stopped getting headaches. As soon as I stop the doxy or mino, the debilitating headaches return.

Aww...that's too bad njfillet - seems you're stuck between a rock and a hard place with that one.
What are you taking with the tetracycline?

Were you on the Mino with rifampin ?


There are LLMDs whose protocols are pulsing the meds - so staring and stopping.

In fact the LLMD I just switched to has his patients pulse the abx.

I've been on Mino a few different times during my treatment, and have started and stopped it.
But I'm not fully healed yet tho .


You could try the Mino with Rifabutin and see how you do.
