One more thing. Are you more sensitive to things such as food when you are herxing?
Don't want to stop my herbals but if I have to restart then so be it.
Anyone else have success treating psycholocal Lyme / coinfections?
Some people do develop sensitivities to foods. What kind of reactions to food have you noticed?
If you're still herxing days after greatly reducing dosages, you may want to stop everything except maybe Japanese knotweed for about
3 days to get over the herx. If that works, then SLOWLY add the other herbs back one at a time (maybe one per week) at TINY doses like 1/8th - 1/4th as much as you were taking. Pay attention to your response to each herb. You will likely be more sensitive to some than others. That will help you judge how much you can increase each individual herb and how quickly. It's a learning process. I've had to back up 3 times so far during 9 months of treatment, and I thought I was already going extremely low and slow.
Another thing is I tend to have delayed herxes sometimes weeks after starting something new and can even get increased symptoms even when I haven't changed anything. Just a warning in case it happens to you, too.
It is normal to have symptoms return that you haven't had in a while and also have new symptoms you haven't had before. Isn't this fun?!!!!!!
Bartonella can be a real tough one. It is for me. Hang in there and keep coming back with questions.
