Just curious if people have successfully taking betablockers while going through antibiotic lyme treatment.

was curious how that went with changing the lyme protocols all the time (babesia, bartonella, etc), if you have to change up the betablocker depending on what lyme antibiotics you are taking.

I was prescribed one - propranolol by my LLND..but I didn't fill the prescription.

It was for my anxiety that would wake me in the early morning - he felt like it would calm that down...

My bp at that time was about 100 to 105 over 60-70 and I didn't want it to drop anymore (which is what can happen with the beta blockers.

I don't think you have to change it depending on which antibiotics you're taking.

Beta blockers come in different class types- they actually work in different ways. And they are used for other symptoms besides high blood pressure.

Propranerolo is also used for cortisol based anxiety and tremors - in that case your dose is not as important unless like girli's, your BP is already low.

I take metoprolol and it hardly makes a dent in my high blood pressure or anxiety, but it helps a little.

THanks a lot, yes i am not sure what class of betablocker they would put me on, just wasnt clear if it was going to be problem with mixing medication.

sounds like each drug interaction will need to be looked at across all my meds.
