post lymes treatment and pregnancy

My daughter was treated for lymes 8 months ago Still not feeling well One test showed antibodies showing she had contracted it The other test showed she didnt have it anymore Then the next time they tested her she was positive She would like to have a child but is worried about the baby contracting it if there really are live lyme spirochetes in her Also we live near Plainview Is there a Lymes literate doctor there? I know there are so many holistic doctors out to rake up a bill when they really are on a medical witch hunt Im a nurse and know there are few excellent doctors holistic or traditional that are easy to find

Hi Paula, welcome to our community.

We can't rely on antibody testing to show whether we still have active infection.

We need to go by symptoms. If she's still not feeling well, it sounds like she didn't get enough treatment.

Was she treated by a LLMD?

She may need to be on abx while she is pregnant to prevent the baby contracting Lyme disease.
