Anyone on long-term Augmentin?

I wanted to ask if anyone had experiences and/or knowledge about taking Augmentin for Lyme? I am having pretty good results but I heard it can lead to liver and kidney problems.

I have no tolerance at all for Doxy, which made me vomit. (I was on a low dose in comparison to those described in this forum.)

I've had relatively good (not perfect) results on Augmentin for nearly 2 months. This has been the best stretch in two years. I've been excited about this because I had such terrible headaches before that I had to stop working full-time.

I've been able to go back to work for a while. The only drawback is that my ear ringing is growing worse. However, I have significantly improved in relation to headaches and very much improved in relation to brain fog while on the Aug.

So, I would like to continue with the Augmentin, but I am concerned after learning it can harm the kidneys and liver.

Anyone have any experience with this antibiotic?
