Japanese Knotweed is naturally high in resveratrol so it is often used as a source for resveratrol supplements.

My understanding from reading Stephen Buhner's book (Healing Lyme) is that the resveratrol is only one of several components that makes Japanese Knotweed useful for Lyme. So, if you get a resveratrol supplement that is from Knotweed but has been purified down to just resveratrol as much as possible, you would theoretically not get the full benefit. Again this is just my understanding so someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

So I believe the advice would be to look for either a resveratrol supplement that uses a whole herb formulation, or to just get the bulk Knotweed powder.

There are a few bulk Knotweed powder brands on Amazon as well as through 1stChineseherbs. Buhner used to recommend the Source Naturals resveratrol supplement tablets but I believe no longer does.

I'd have to look it up in Buhner's book to say for sure. Many of the herbs are anti-Candida, although they probably would not be enough to eradicate a serious Candida overgrowth.

What symotoms have you suspecting Candida? Have you been on long term antibiotics? Have you had any kind of testing for Candida?
