Dilated Eyes

My mother is asking me why my eyes are so dilated. I do not know. I don't take any drugs ir alcohol except what little I get with my tiny doses of herbs.

I've heard of red eyes, blurry vision, and floaters but not dilated eyes. Any insight on this?

"edit - there's a test using a flash light - in a dark room you put a flashlight pointed at your eyes and if your pupils can't hold the contraction and get big again...it could mean adrenal fatigue."

The only way I could pass that test was to not do it!

Found that very interesting. I have bartonella and have been feeling anger/rage again. I almost laughed at that one post about the child with tiger eyes and rage.

I've been saying all this time that I think I was born with the bartonella. Well my mother has glaucoma now, which is caused from optic nerve damage, which can be caused from bartonella.

Lucky for me, I just had a complete eye exam a few weeks ago, and it was better. Last year the doctor said something looked funny in my optic nerve and did al special image exam of the optic nerve. That was done again this time, and the areas that looked bad last time are now normal.

That's good you're having regular exams to check your optic nerve.
I've had it done once...thanks for the reminder - I should have a retest.
I told the Ophthalmologist I had lyme and she recommended that she look at the optic nerve and also had me do the Visual Fields test.

My LLND and i had a discussion on bartonella - I most likely got it as a young child...but managed to maintain good health throughout my life - except for a few anomalies. like the high bilirubin I got in my teen years...that went away with bart treatment....and some other 'stuff'. I grew up not being a morning person because I always felt nausea upon waking....so never had breakfast.
Maybe that was bart.
Had many, many cats growing up..and in particular one really bad cat bite - that I had to go to the Dr. for - it was infected so bad.

Then what's supposed to happen?

You go into a dark room and do this test in front of the mirror with the flashlight shining across your eye from the side of your face.
Your pupils will contract from the light. But,(apparently) with adrenal fatigue, they can't hold the constriction and dilate again within a couple minutes.

Yes they should get smaller when shining the light - but with adrenal fatigue they dont hold the construction and dilate quickly . Yes while still in the dark and flashlite on.

I don’t know how accurate this test is though.
I can’t remember what my results were or my husband’s.

I tried it last night, but they didn't appear to change at all. They didn't appear dilated when I turned the flashlight on, and didn't appear to get smaller than they already were.

When I looked at my eyes, they didn't look dilated to me. I don't know what my mother was seeing.

I know that in past years when I've had my eyes dilated for an eye exam that one eye would remain dilated longer than the other, often into the next day. I didn't notice that happening a few weeks ago when I had my last exam.

maybe her eyes were dilated and it made your eyes look dilated ...lol...joking of course.
