Question about herxes

Hey everyone, I don't normally herx very much so I want to run my current spike by you all to see if you think it could be one. 2 and a half weeks ago my LLMD and I (I see Dr. G in south Florida) increased my Azithromycin dose to 500mg, a week later or so I started feeling some stomach discomfort about a week later or so, though that may just been a side effect from all the antibiotics I'm on. A week and a half after I started the increased dose my neck started getting really sore and I've been getting headaches, which I haven't gotten many of in a while since I started treatment in January.

Could this be a herx? I thought they started sooner than a week and a half after making a change. It's been going on for about a week now, and it's bearable but I'm hoping it doesn't last.

I'm not a doctor nor do I pretend to be one so I can't say what you are feeling. What I can talk about is my own personal experience with antibiotics which was they made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't handle it so I stopped it and switched over to alternative medicine.

That said not to long ago my elderly Mom had pain in her mouth so I took her to a dentist who prescribed an antibiotic for an infection he found and shame on me for giving her that medicine. She also became very sick to her stomach, dizzy and suffered headaches.

I immediately stopped giving her that medicine and ordered Dr. Jernigan's Borrelogen for her which cleared up her tooth infection. I will never ever again give my Mom an antibiotic when there are so many better options out there without the side effects.

I think people use the term "herx" too loosely. Girlie is correct that herxes occur when toxins are released from die-offs not only into the bloodstream but tissues, joints, etc. That's why it is so important to get on a detox protocol. If one does not get rid of toxins they keep recirculating causing more havoc to one's body and brain.
