So I am getting my air ducts cleaned and they found MOLD in a couple of the vents. They took a swab of it and I want to send it off somewhere to test to see what kind of mold it is. Anyone know where I can send it?
I now have a UV light in my hvac and the ducts are cleaned and sanitized. I am hopeful this will help me fully recover! I am curious what kind of mold it is though so want to test it somewhere...

I'm very curious to know what you find out. Please let us know as you do. I've always thought duct systems for heat and air conditioning were a little too good to be true - healthwise.

I had pretty much the same thing. And I live around the same area as you, assuming you live in Raleigh. Instead of what you found in the ducts, I recommend ordering either the ERMI or HERTSMI-2 tests from Mycometrics and have them test it. They are by far the most reputable lab in the states when it comes to mold. It analyzes the dust in your carpet or surfaces and will tell you what kind and how much mold mold is in your home. If you score above a certain number, remediation is recommended.
Since it was in your air ducts, you should clean everything really good. Porous items may be challenging. Wait a couple weeks. Then take the dust sample and see if it's clear.
Do you know if you are genetically susceptible to mold?
Fortunately, Chapel Hill has a couple of the nation's leading mold mds in the nation. I can email you the info if you need.
