Navigating a Lyme Journey

Hello, I'm new here, and very thankful for everything I've read thus far. It's nice to know I'm not alone, not crazy and understood that lyme looks different in everyone and it is treated different for success in everyone.
I always have known that my body didn't behave like everyone else's. I have been tired all the time for many years, with no real concern from anyone else. After visiting with a cousin at the beginning of last year, who has thyroid issues, I decided to seek out help. I had my thyroid checked a few years prior, which tested "normal." So, I knew I had to try to get something different. I ended up at a functional medical place that found my thyroid, while working fine, my T3:T4 was off, so started taking T3. The PA suspected Lyme for some time and a dragged my feet to get tested, but finally did last fall.

My first protocol had zeolite as a binder, I read the dosage wrong and took too much the first day or so... Bind me up it did! While still in disbelief that I really had lyme (even with test results in hand that say positive), I took this binder and biopure cocktail, Hyaluronic acid and glutathione in addition taking vitamin C, B12, D, and monolaurin. While dealing with the pain caused by my insides being bound up and ultra detoxing (maybe herxing?) I noticed that my feet were not hurting! The pain in my feet has been the most puzzling thing to me, for it to be completely gone felt WONDERFUL! It was then I understood that I had lyme.

I had been back to the functional medicine PA one other time after getting the diagnosis. She suggested to also use RNA Lyme Support. I started working at nights and haven't been back to get an updated blood draw for my thyroid to get more T3. I've also taken what I could keep up with financially and memory of everything else, but I have had a hard time keeping it all on schedule. In addition I've somewhat cut out gluten.

Emotionally, I'm just drained... I work nights and not getting much of an income, I at least now health insurance, but of course insurance, even AFLAC, doesn't cover Lyme. So I face needing to go back to the Functional Medicine PA (cash pay most likely) and the expense of the the protocol, it just adds stress, which is not helpful. It's also not helpful that lyme is illusive to treat, even though the CDC saids Doxy takes care of it.

How do you deal with the factors of cost, fighting for treatment for success, and just keep up with the day to day?
