Dear Morgellons sufferer, what was your experience with antibiotics?

I don't have lyme, but unknown anaerobic bacteria and protozoa strains were found.
Doctor prescribed me Tinidazole and Alinia. But I'm afraid it may flare up my mold related symptoms even further so I'm very hesitant to take them.
I've read some mixed results in regards to taking antibiotics. Some say it was a key factor in their recovery, but others say it made them worse.
It would be greatly appreicated if anyone can share their experiences with antibiotics treatment.

Unfortunately there is no LLMD in my country. My doctor is in functional medicine field.

I thought there's no way I could get infected with lyme,

but just a few minutes ago, I found the research paper published recently that says 100% of Morgellon’s Patients Have Borrelia Burgdorferi Infections.

I guess I have to find someone who can order reliable test to see if I have lyme or not

Both Alinia and Tinadazole worked very well for me. There was a minor herx with Tinadazole for the first 2 days. Alinia was easier to take.

Also I am a proponent of Fluconazole in combination with Doxycycline at some point in your treatment but there were major herx periods of 5 days or more with this combo.

If you hurt badly take a short few days break but try to come back to them within a week. You should find them easier to take this way.

Albendazole was also helpful.

If your lungs hurt Clarithromycin should be used for at least 3 months.

It should get a bit easier each time you return to treatment. Long breaks with Fluconazole are not recommended as it works best if you dont allow the bugs to build resistance.

Try to make sure that you are not continuously being exposed to mold.

I've been taking Fluconazole, Terbinafine for quite some time now.

So far it gives me the best result.

One time I got perscribed minocycline from doctor for my skin problems, but I didn't take them.

Maybe I should ask him again If I can take them at the same time with Diflucan.

Either Doxy or Mino work in conjunction to make Fluconazole Fungicidal. By itself Fluconazole is only fungistatic. Its a good combo and did a lot to halp me.

magoo2 Could you explain more about your past situation?

I've noticed some aches in my lower teeths from time to time.(after morgellons developed) But so far no cavitation was found during checkups.

Recently I came across a website where she claims root canal infection was the hidden casue of her ongoing parasites related symptoms.

Do you think it is linked with parasites also?
