Please be very cautious here everyone. See below:
Depending on the version of Artemisia, most have very little effect on Babesia. Artemisinin is the version that is needed, and is effective when treating a Babesia infection. Also, if you are referring to Buhner, he no longer recommends Artemisinin for Babesia and/or Bartonella as per his book that he wrote a few years ago. The studies demonstrate that Sida acuda is a lot more effective against them, followed by Cryptolepis, and then by Alchornea. They are all considered more effective against Babesia and/or Bartonella as compared to Artemisinin. Studies have shown Artemisinin to be dangerous with regard to possible liver damage, especially over long-term use (more than a couple of months), and should be avoided.
One more caution, if you are having any high blood pressure issues (hypertension), be cautious when using Sida acuta. In 'some' people with hypertension issues, it has caused an increase in blood pressure. Just be aware if you choice to use it. Cryptolepis and Alchornea don't seem to cause this possible issue.
Best wishes all, and God bless.
