Do cowden herbal protocols have an effect on bartonella

The herbs cumanda, banderol, and samento are often known as Lyme herbs from,my understanding. Cowden said these herbs address Lyme and all the coinfections(bartonella). Can I get some opinions or experiences on these herbs from you guys?

Cowden does have something for Bart in particular - I think it’s Houttuynia

Have you looked at the Cowden schedule?

I think Samento is a broad spectrum antimocrobial - so it would also hit bart.

There’s also Enula for babesia

But, you also have to treat lyme, right?

Sameto is TOA free cat's claw isn't it? Buhner has a rant about it in his lyme book I think. If you're already on Cat's Claw for lyme there's no reason to add it.

I never tried the cowden protocol. I did try houtynnia tincture though, and it did help some, but for some reason it made my tongue get covered in black fuzz, so I had to stop it.

Cumanda and Banderol have antibartonella effects acording to lee cowden but i don't know how efective is it and houttuynia...

LJohn23, the herbs that you mentioned are effective against Bartonella, Lyme and other infections because they protect your organs, your blood and affect the way bugs feed and replicate. So although they might not be antibacterial in that they kill bugs directly, they do play a part in protecting your body and keep the bugs from feeding and replicating.

Houttuynia is an antibacterial from what I understand. The herbs that you mentioned and Houttuynia complement each other and complete an elegant plan against Bartonella.

Cowden's Protocol isn't really strong for Bart. Buhner's Protocol is much stronger and more effective.
