Granddaddy of AM herx reaction to Klinghardt Parasite Protocol!!! I think ,, Help!!!

So based on my recent reactions to Cowden's Parasite herb, my LLMD started me in Klinghardt Parasite protocol. Which I understand is Dr Yu's.. Which I don;t know much about.

Anyways this morning I work up and had either a BAD reaction to the meds or a granddaddy herx. (Not sure what it is)

Out of sorts, derealization 10X to anything I had before.. Tunnel vision,, eyesight fading in and out Pressure headache (but that was not that bad)

Worst when I first wake up.. goes away in a few hrs.

This was a WAY MORE serious reaction to anything i've ever had below.

I really like my LLMD but I get the feeling she does not have much experience with Parasites. She did feel is was a dieoff reaction

I'd like a confirmation if someone out there has treated with this protocol and experience you had .


Biltricide : 1200 pe day first 2 days

On day 6 of 14 of these 2

Ivermectin 45 mg per day
Pyrant Pamote 1,000 mg each night


I thought these were big critter killers,, I was not expecting to get a heady reaction from these. I did not either one these passed the brain blood barrier.

I haven't done parasite treatment (other than Babs)

I did but I also stopped taking yesterday. I feel fine this AM no symptoms

I read up on Ivermectin and turns out it's not designed to cross the blood brain barrier but can when taken with a Channel Blocker and or Amlodipine, Which I take.

Looks like there are rare cases with strong Neurological reaction to this med.

Not sure not if this is a herx..

Hi Mark,

Sometimes even if you are targeting one specific 'bug' and going after that one-that isn't to say that your body as it goes into recognizing that pathogen won't be on 'high' alert and start recognizing the other infections and killing those as well-maybe causing unexpected symptoms.

I'm glad you are feeling a little better this AM. Keep detoxing-have you tried the detox shakes (cilantro, parsley, and lemon?). Those helped me immensely. It is OK if your dr is not an expert in parasites. Keep up with tracking your symptoms and doing your research. You can always suggest things and with their advice try new treatments if necessary.

Thanks all. Temporarily stopped all offensive treatment.

On a business trip and faked that I was sane today,. At least I think i did.

I must say I’m truly spooked. I thought I understood the depth of this infection but was humbled. Again.

Just when feel I’m on the road to recovery something like this makes you realize how little you know.

Need to reassess.

Mark, I hope that is a turn for the better. I had a similar reaction to Minocycline(and Metronidazole?) that was mind altering, I've been off most abx for months.

Dr Yu worked with me for parasite detox. I did all of those meds for longer and just as strong or stronger amounts.

I had two months of not feeling well.

Its sounds like you are herxing-push yourself and balance what you can handle. Its actually a good sign.

It really helped my overall health
